Remembering Oliver

Oliver Schroer, the wonderful Canadian violinist, composer, mentor to so many young people, died July 3 of leukemia at the age of 52. Visit his website and you can see all about him and his life.

Tonight, Wednesday July 9, CBC online is broadcasting his final concert, which was recorded just June 5. It will be available any time from cbc radio 2.

Oliver had just released his newest cd as well. I have the Camino one, which is wonderful. A scholarship fund has been set up in his memory, to continue his work with young people.
